London, UK: The prestigious British Museum hosted its inaugural Pink Ball in London, marking a historic cultural moment as it coincided with the acclaimed exhibition “Ancient India: Living Traditions.” The event was co-chaired by Isha Ambani alongside Nicholas Cullinan, Director of The British Museum, highlighting India’s deep cultural influence and artistic legacy on a global stage.

The Pink Ball celebrated creative dialogue between India and the world, showcasing the country’s rich craftsmanship, heritage textiles, and artistic innovation. Isha Ambani, known globally for championing Indian art and artisans, embodied the essence of this vision both in her address and her sartorial presence.

An Ode to Indian Craftsmanship

As co-chair, Isha Ambani wore a custom couture ensemble by renowned designers Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, symbolizing India’s artistic excellence. Her blush pink chamoise satin jacket paired with a column skirt paid homage to the theme of the evening while reflecting the elegance of traditional Indian embroidery.

The outfit featured intricate old rose zardozi work, embellished with pearls, sequins, and crystals in a luminous pastel palette. Impressively, the garment was brought to life by over 35 master artisans, who dedicated 3,670 hours to handcraft the ensemble.

In a first-of-its-kind tribute to the Pink Ball’s theme, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla introduced pink zardozi embroidery, reinterpreting the ancient art form through a modern lens—bridging the timeless with the contemporary.
