DUBAI— In a major push to establish India as a global manufacturing and technology hub for the defence and aerospace sector, Raksha Rajya Mantri (RRM) Shri Sanjay Seth is set to lead a high-level Indian delegation to the prestigious Dubai Air Show (DAS) 2025, taking place in the United Arab Emirates on November 17–18. The visit underscores India’s commitment to boosting defence exports, enhancing strategic partnerships, and accelerating its self-reliance initiative.

The delegation, which includes senior officials from the Department of Defence, Department of Defence Production, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Armed Forces, signals the government’s coordinated effort to leverage the global platform provided by DAS.

A key highlight of RRM Seth’s schedule is a planned bilateral meeting with his UAE counterpart. This high-level engagement is expected to focus on deepening the strategic defence relationship between the two nations, which are increasingly seeing alignment in security and industrial interests. Furthermore, Shri Seth will chair a critical industry roundtable aimed at fostering international collaboration. This round table will bring together approximately 50 key companies from diverse nations, including the UAE, Australia, USA, Brazil, UK, and Italy, specifically to discuss cooperation in advanced defence technology and manufacturing within India, directly supporting the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

The core of India’s industrial showcase will be the dedicated India Pavilion, which Shri Seth will inaugurate. This hub will feature leading public sector defence entities and innovative private companies, including the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Corel Technologies, Dantal Hydraulics, Image Synergy Ekxplor, and SFO Technologies.

The country’s presence is further bolstered by 19 major Indian industries, such as Bharat Forge, BrahMos, Tech Mahindra, and HBL Engineering, who will be showcasing their indigenous capabilities at independent stalls. Adding a dynamic element to the exhibition, 15 promising Indian startups will also present their cutting-edge products and solutions, reflecting the nation’s vibrant ecosystem of innovation in defence tech.

Beyond the industrial display, the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be a prominent participant, contributing to the Air Show’s spectacle. The famed Suryakiran Aerobatic Team is set to perform dazzling aerial maneuvers, while the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas will provide a crucial demonstration of India’s homegrown fighter jet technology on the international stage.

With over 1,500 exhibitors and 148,000 industry professionals from 150 countries, the Dubai Air Show serves as a vital platform for major aerospace players like Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and Dassault Aviation. India’s robust and multifaceted participation this year clearly positions it not only as a massive market but also as a reliable and ambitious global partner in the future of defence and aerospace.
