Chandigarh: The Bank of India (BoI) celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great patriotic spirit at its Head Office, where employees, senior leadership, and their families came together to honor the nation’s freedom and reaffirm their commitment to India’s growth.

The ceremony began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Shri Rajneesh Karnatak, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, in the presence of the institution’s top leadership. Executive Directors Shri P. R. Rajagopal and Shri Rajiv Mishra, along with Chief General Managers, General Managers, and other senior officials, graced the event. The gathering witnessed a strong sense of unity, as employees and their families participated in the celebrations with enthusiasm and pride.

Honoring the Sacrifices of Freedom Fighters

In his address to the assembled gathering, Shri Rajneesh Karnatak urged everyone to reflect on the sacrifices made by India’s freedom fighters, who devoted their lives to secure the nation’s independence. He emphasized that Independence Day is not just a celebration of freedom but also a reminder of the foresight, courage, and determination of those who envisioned an independent and self-reliant India.
