Bank of Baroda Celebrates 118th Foundation Day with Focus on Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Sustainability

Bank of Baroda Reports Steady Profit Growth and Improved Asset Quality in Q2FY26

Chandigarh: Bank of Baroda (BoB), one of India’s leading public sector banks, celebrated its 118th Foundation Day by unveiling a series of forward-looking initiatives aimed at redefining the future of banking through innovation, customer-centric services, and sustainability. The theme for this year’s Foundation Day, “Trust Empowered by Innovation,” reflects the Bank’s commitment to combining its century-old legacy of trust with cutting-edge technological advancements to enhance customer experience.

The event was graced by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), who attended as the Chief Guest. Speaking at the ceremony, Shri Nagaraju highlighted the crucial role of public sector banks in building a digitally inclusive and sustainable India.


Focus on Innovation and Customer Experience

On this landmark occasion, Bank of Baroda announced the launch of multiple innovative products and services designed to meet the evolving needs of customers across diverse segments, from individual retail users to MSMEs and corporate clients.

The Bank introduced the bob World Business app, a next-generation digital banking solution tailored for MSMEs, merchants, and corporate customers. The app is designed to provide a seamless experience by integrating digital payments, transaction management, and business insights on a single platform.

In a significant leap towards immersive digital experiences, the Bank announced the pilot launch of a Virtual Front Office powered by AI and 3D holographic technology. This futuristic service will allow customers to interact with virtual banking representatives, enhancing convenience and personalization.

The bob इ Pay International suite was also unveiled, expanding the scope of global UPI functionalities integrated into the bob इ Pay app. This upgrade is expected to enhance cross-border payment solutions for customers, aligning with India’s vision of strengthening its digital payment ecosystem globally.

Another customer-focused initiative is the introduction of the bob inSIGHT Braille Debit Card, designed for visually impaired customers. This inclusive product demonstrates the Bank’s focus on accessibility and empowerment for all customer groups.

As part of its long-term vision, Bank of Baroda emphasized its dedication to environmental responsibility and sustainable finance. The Bank announced Green Financing schemes that aim to support eco-friendly projects and initiatives, thereby contributing to India’s sustainable development goals.
