Kathmandu, July 14, 2025: In a strategic cross-border expansion move, Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) — the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited — has launched the iconic Indian beverage brand Campa in Nepal. The launch, in partnership with the country’s leading conglomerate Chaudhary Group (CG), marks RCPL’s official entry into the Nepali market and reflects its commitment to globalising Indian legacy brands.
The announcement was made at a launch event in Kathmandu, where executives from both RCPL and Chaudhary Group outlined a shared vision to reignite nostalgia and introduce innovation in Nepal’s fast-evolving beverage industry.
🇮🇳➡️🇳🇵 Campa Crosses Borders

Originally launched over 50 years ago in India, Campa has enjoyed a resurgence since RCPL acquired it in 2022. Following a successful reintroduction in India in 2023, Campa has become a prominent player in the carbonated soft drink space, positioning itself as a homegrown alternative to global giants.
Now, through its partnership with Chaudhary Group, RCPL aims to bring that same energy and heritage appeal to Nepal’s growing consumer market.
“We are thrilled to enter the Nepal market with our brand Campa in association with our esteemed partner Chaudhary Group,” said Ketan Mody, Executive Director, RCPL. “Campa is a legacy Indian brand that still holds immense emotional value. We see tremendous potential for accelerated growth in the region and are investing for the long term.”
🥤 More Than a Beverage – A Movement
The new Campa portfolio will include a variety of offerings:
-
Campa Cola
-
Campa Orange
-
Campa Lemon
-
Campa Energy Gold Boost
-
Campa Energy Berry Kick
These products, which will be locally manufactured and distributed by Chaudhary Group, are priced competitively to cater to Nepal’s youth-driven and price-sensitive market. For example:
-
250ml Campa CSD bottles are priced at NRs. 30
-
250ml Campa Energy PET bottles are priced at NRs. 40
The brand is positioned as a symbol of grit, ambition, and nostalgia, with a messaging platform that appeals to both the youth and families. With slogans built around the themes of determination and perseverance, Campa is branding itself as a lifestyle choice rather than just a fizzy drink.
“Campa celebrates the fearless, never-give-up attitude of today’s youth,” Mody added. “It’s more than a beverage — it’s a source of inspiration.”
🤝 A Strategic Partnership with Chaudhary Group
The collaboration with Chaudhary Group, a leading player in Nepal’s FMCG sector, brings powerful local knowledge and a robust supply chain to Campa’s rollout.
Speaking on the occasion, Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing Director, CG, said, “We are proud to collaborate with Reliance Consumer Products to bring Campa to Nepal. This partnership reflects our shared values of quality, innovation, and heritage. With our extensive distribution network, we are confident Campa will become a beloved brand in every Nepali household.”
The move is expected to enhance CG’s already strong beverage portfolio and reinforce its leadership in Nepal’s FMCG market.
🌍 Global Vision with Local Execution
Nepal is the latest international market where Campa is making its mark, following its presence in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. RCPL’s entry into Nepal aligns with its broader vision of turning Indian heritage brands into global players, offering affordable, world-class alternatives to international FMCG giants.
The partnership leverages Reliance’s product development and brand-building strength with Chaudhary Group’s deep market expertise and distribution reach. The combination is expected to reshape consumer choice in Nepal’s carbonated drinks and energy beverage segments.
🎯 Brand Identity: Nostalgia Meets Energy
With vibrant red, purple, and gold packaging, Campa and Campa Energy aim to stand out on retail shelves while delivering both a nostalgic and contemporary appeal. The products are tailored for a youthful audience with active lifestyles, offering a refreshing boost that aligns with aspirational messaging and value-for-money pricing.
📈 Future Outlook
The Campa launch in Nepal is expected to significantly impact the region’s beverage landscape. As Indian companies like RCPL look beyond domestic borders for growth, strategic partnerships such as this one are paving the way for cultural exports with commercial potential.
Analysts suggest that if the rollout succeeds, it may pave the way for more Reliance FMCG entries in neighbouring South Asian markets, expanding the reach of Indian brands and strengthening regional trade ties.
